Hello fellow sea glass lovers!  I am one of the very, truly lucky ones on the planet who get to do what they love for their life’s work:  I am an artisan who creates jewelry from sea glass.   There is something profoundly mystical about sea glass that is quintessentially elemental, which is why I named my body of work with sea glass The Elemental Collection.  You can read about why sea glass has become an important symbol in my spiritual journey on my website.  I invite you to browse and shop there as well!  My jewelry incorporates extraordinary pieces of sea glass, enhanced by precious metals, charms, findings, and semi-precious stones… because the sea glass deserves it!    I look forward to meeting you this October at the North American Sea Glass Festival in Erie, Pennsylvania where I was born and raised, and where my love of the sea and fondness for sea glass was nurtured along the shores of beautiful Presque Isle.

What abeautiful collection of jewelry and easy site to follow. I have had many compliments on the jewelry that I own which include earrings, necklace and braclet which make a complete set. How fortunate I feel to wear something unique and special. Love your creativity.

I have a few pieces by this artist–received a beautiful bezel-set sea foam pendant necklace for my 21st birthday, and also have a totally cute pair of red chip earrings–and truly treasure them. The glass glows from within, seemingly, and I love the feel the glass–whenever I wear the pieces, I can’t help but touch them! The workmanship is the highest quality, and each piece is different. Love this artist!

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It is such a blessing to be so kindly rewarded for doing the work of ones hands. “From deep to deep…tears once lost in the sea, now found, help the heart to re-connect with tears too deep for words.”

When I received my first Tears From The Deep earrings I knew very little about sea glass. Since then I’ve learned much about sea glass, and about symbols and the spirit, by reading the Tears From the Deep web site. I’ve purchased some lovely earrings and necklaces, from both the earth and water elemental series. I continue to be amazed by the artist’s workmanship and creativity.

Cindy created an absolute gorgeous necklace for me from sea glass I found in Hawaii; it’s like a charm necklace with 8 pieces, orange, red, yellow, blue, green, seafoam and cobalt. It’s magical! Like candy!

I have purchased about eight necklaces and earrings from Cindy, when I open the box it’s always a wonderful beautiful surprise. Cindy takes pieces of sea glass and makes them into beautiful, stunning jewelry. I love her work. What a nice person and great artist. If you get a chance to purchase a piece of her jewelry you will love it.

A close friend of mine gave me my first pair of sea glass earrings purchased from Tears from the Deep for my 50th birthday. They were a very light blue. At the time, I did not know about sea glass jewelry. Since then I have purchased for myself at least ten pairs of earrings and a necklace of various colors of glass that match most of my pairs of earrings. They also make wonderful gifts. I find the service wonderful and the artist is passionate about her life’s work because it is what she loves to do and it shows in her work.

I have quite a few pieces of jewelry from Cindy Kuhn of Tears from the Deep. Each is more lovely than the next. I purchase from Cindy every year at the Presque Isle Days festival in July in Erie Pa. Every year her jewelry is better than the year before. Even though there are a LOT of beach glass jewelry dealers here in Erie, I always head for the Tears from the Deep first, and I am never disappointed in her selection. I hope you will be at PI Days again this year Cindy so I can get my “fix”.

There is a lot of beach glass jewelry out there today, but a lot of it is made by “crafters” and some of it is made by “artists.” Cindy is sea glass ARTIST! Her eye for color and design is unique and her workmanship is exquisite. I have purchased many pieces from her collection and every time I wear her jewelry people are sure to notice it and ask me where I got it. Simple and stunning is the best way to describe my favorite pieces. I never wore jewelry much until I received my first pair of sea glass earrings from Cindy. In fact, the earrings were so beautiful, I finally went and got my ears pierced at age 40 just so I could wear them. And I’ve purchased several more pairs since then. Cindy’s jewelry is the only jewelry I wear anymore.

Cindy Kuhn is an amazing artist. I love her jewelry and have purchased many pieces from her. My favorite is a custom necklace that she designed and created for me out of a piece of glass I discovered on the beach of Lake Erie. I found the piece of glass when I took a short break from the book I was reading, ironically, “Gift From the Sea.” I told Cindy my story and sent her the glass. The necklace she designed for me is TRULY a magical, stunning piece.

I have many lovely pieces of jewelry designed by this artist. Over the years, I have enjoyed giving them as special gifts to friends. One gift that is especially meaningful is the beautiful and simple prayer beads. This thoughtfully made gift, along with the inspirational card from the artist that explains the origin of the “five, smooth stones,” brings some comfort and peace to those in times of trial. It is a lovely and helpful thing to give when words alone just don’t seem enough. Thank you, Cindy.

I have several pieces of sea glass jewelry from Cindy. She is a true artist who puts herself into making absolute works of art. Each piece I own is very distinct. What I also love about my pieces is the story attached to them; where the sea glass came from and Cindy’s feeling about the particular piece. Thank you Cindy!!

Oh my gosh! You are making me blush! Thank you for the reminder about Discover Presque Isle Days, Cindy, the last weekend in July up on stunningly beautiful Presque Isle at Erie, PA. It is one of the few shows I do every year because it just keeps getting better and better. There is something for everyone, not the least of which are searching for sea glass and strolling along the shores at sunset.

  14. Michelle from NE OH says:

My first two pieces of Cindy’s sea glass jewelry came from Cindy’s booth at a NE OH first-class art and crafts show some years ago. They are in pale pink - a rare and precious color to be sure - and are a bracelet and earrings. I am glad to this day that I could not resist them.

Since then, I have purchased several of Cindy’s items (in shades of blue and aqua) - mostly from her website but also from a shop in Bar Harbor Maine while camping. Who’d a thunk I’d find some of Cindy’s pieces at a shop in Maine?!

I should also mention that her website is well organized, easy to use, and kept up-to-date and fresh. Not sure how she does it all and makes lovely sea glass jewelry too. BTW, check out her site regularly as you will often see new designs!

    Cindy also does custom work…
Two years ago, when I retired, my husband took me on a special beach trip to celebrate. On the trip, I had a great time strolling the beach collecting sea glass. Cindy is THE person I thought of to create some sea glass jewelry from my finds. She was ready and willing to do so. As a result, in a very short period of time, I had a very special sea glass bracelet, pendant and earrings to commemorate that trip. Cindy was easy to work with and very helpful in making suggestions which resulted in WONDERFUL pieces which I truly enjoy wearing and recalling where they came from.

Cindy is one of a kind and produces lovely pieces of jewelry, and offers them at very reasonable prices. I periodically add to my growing personal collection of her jewelry and never hesitate to refer family and friends to Cindy and her site.

I just cannot tell you how much my wife loved the earrings that I bought for her from this vendor. The jewelry is top shelf and we will return to the site to buy more. Cindy seems to have a knack for putting the right parts together to come up with unique and wonderful combinations. It is a gift that few of us have and I am thankful to have found her.

The expression of the art is revealed with the use of glass. I am glad there are those who appreciate it. I do.

  17. Deb Davis says:

I have never been as pleased with a piece of jewelry as I was with the beautiful sea-glass necklace I purchased from Cindy. It was even better than I anticipated. The workmanship was superb and the service was timely! I look forward to doing business with her again.

  18. Danielle Renee' says:

I had the pleasure of meeting Cindy at the “Sea Glass Festival” in Lewes DE in Octobe “08″. She is just as lovely as her beautiful jewelry.
    Look forward to Erie Cindy!

  19. Lisa Richardson says:

A friend and I got to see many sea glass jewelry makers at the North American Sea Glass Festival in 2007. Cindy’s work stood out as more elegant and reasonably priced than the others. I was excited to learn that she would create jewelry from sea glass pieces that I had found. I sent her pieces and had necklaces mades for myself, my mom, and my sister. We all get compliments on them every time we wear them.
